The 2021 Jaguar F-type R AWD coupe is just as beautiful as ever, although the headlights are now narrower and the grille is slightly larger. The R gets 25 extra horses this year and is still a blast to drive, but its performance numbers are essentially the same despite engine and chassis upgrades.
Jaguar calls this car's eye-grabbing paint Sorrento Yellow, but we referred it to as Plochman's, Kraft, and highlighter yellow.
Spotter's guide: The R model is the only F-type with quad exhausts. The pipes have the R brand etched on them if you're willing to crouch down to look.
The F-type's design was refreshed for 2021. The most noticeable change is to the front end, where the grille is slightly larger and the creases in the hood's sheetmetal are slightly smoother than in past years.
The F-type R wears staggered Pirelli P Zero tires on 20-inch rims. The front tires are 265/35, and the rears are 305/30.
The two-seat interior is somewhat cramped, but the materials throughout the cockpit look and feel expensive
The F-type coupe has 14 cubic feet of cargo space compared to 7 cubic feet of space in the F-type convertible.
The F-type R has an upgraded chassis compared to the non-R models, with model-specific springs, dampers, anti-roll bars, and rear knuckles.
The F-type R's supercharged V-8 engine makes wonderful noises, but if wonderful noises aren't really your thing you can opt for the Quiet exhaust mode.
The F-type can receive certain software updates over the air starting with the 2021 model year.
The 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is also new for 2021. The infotainment display and other controls carry over from previous model years.
