The Lexus RX350L is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 producing 290 horsepower and 263 pound-feet of torque.
An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard on the RX350L.
The RX L also comes in RX450hL guise with a hybrid powertrain that delivers better fuel economy.
Compared with the standard two-row RX, the RX L has the same wheelbase but has a bit more rear bodywork to make room for its small third row.
While humans will technically fit in the RX350L's way-back seats, both leg- and headroom are severely limited.
The RX350L costs $3150 more than the standard two-row RX, with our test car totaling $63,540 with its Luxury package, all-wheel drive, and many other options.
A standard three-across middle-row bench seat is standard in the RX350L, but opt for second-row captain's chairs as seen on our test car, and seating capacity is limited to six.
The two-row RX offers a sportier F Sport package with a stiffer suspension tune, but that option is not available for the three-row RX L.
