The engine sits transversely, and the GLA can be had with front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive.
Upcoming AMG versions include the 302-hp GLA35 and the 382-hp GLA45.
The GLA should arrive in the U.S. sometime this summer as a 2021 model.
