The baby Disco's interior design is less successful, as the dashboard is rather bland, and the materials don't feel as luxurious as you'd expect at this price point.
Our test car stickered for $53,775 yet lacked features such as heated seats and SiriusXM satellite radio.
The Discovery Sport offers an optional third row of seats for $1200, which is a rarity in its segment.
On the road, the Disco Sport feels larger than it is, and its lazy throttle response and slow steering are reminiscent of when most sport-utility vehicles were lumbering body-on-frame beasts.
