The VF Lamborghini's interior and exterior are stock. VF only made one subtle modification: replacing the Performante decals on the supercar's doors with ones that say Supercharged in the same font.
According to VF Engineering, on California's 91-octane pump gas its supercharger kit takes the Performante's V-10 from 631 horsepower to 830.
On top of the 5.2-liter V-10 is a very red roots-type Eaton TVS2300 supercharger, producing a maximum of just 6.5 psi of boost.
The rest of the supercharger kit consists of a plenum on the back of the blower, air filters, and airboxes. VF also recalibrates the engine's computer.
The VF Huracán is properly loud. You can hear it ripping through the gears from a half-mile away.
VF says the supercharger kit adds about 100 pounds to the car, yet our test car weighed 239 pounds more than the last Performante we tested.
Acceleration times were the same with the VF Lambo coming out of the hole at 2500, 3000, 3500, or 4000 rpm: zero to 60 mph in 2.4 seconds and a quarter-mile pass in 10.1 at 139 mph.
Its launch-control system, all-wheel drive, and 20-inch Pirelli P Zero Corsa PZC4 tires enable the acceleration.
A 4-mph faster trap speed than the Huracán Evo indicates VF is honest about its claimed power.
Our test car had more than 6000 miles on it and has been supercharged since day one, yet it never faltered or got finicky during our testing.
