It's about the same size as the previous Nissan Sentra, but the 2020 model is lower, wider, and equipped with a sophisticated multilink rear suspension.
All 2020 Nissan Sentras use a 149-hp 2.0-liter inline-four paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission driving the front wheels.
A basic touchscreen is standard in S models, but the SV and SR get a superior 8.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay capability.
The SV and SR get three USB ports. The two ports up front are both data capable, and one supports USB-C connectors.
The rear seat has plenty of legroom. Headroom is tight in Sentras with the optional sunroof, and the rear headrests do not adjust for height.
The flat-bottom steering wheel feels natural in your hands at 10 and 2. The round HVAC vents pay homage to the GT-R or possibly a Mercedes-Benz C-class.
Most of the materials in the SV and SR models we drove were of high quality. But there's thinner plastic on the lower door panels and various dials and buttons.
The driver seat should be comfortable for drivers of all sizes. The telescoping steering wheel offers a useful adjustment range, and the driving position is much improved.
Nissan offers wheels and tires in 16-, 17-, and 18-inch diameters on the 2020 Sentra.
Trunk capacity is down from the previous 15 cubic feet to 14. The rear seats fold in a 60/40 split but are slightly higher than the trunk floor when folded.
