The Morgan Plus 4's doors are cut so low you can hang your left arm out while sitting behind the wheel and drum your fingers on the left front fender's long tail. The Plus 4 is basically a slightly stretched version of the earlier 4/4, with a two-inch longer wheelbase. But two inches of additional legroom matter in a car this small.
Familiar? Yup. The Plus 4's styling and basic engineering hasn't fundamentally changed in 84 years.
If you want to carry anything with the Plus 4, you'll need a luggage rack. This car has no trunk.
The Ford 2.0-liter inline-four sits far forward under the two-piece hood because the footwells extend out under the hood, too. All cars should have an exhaust header this pretty.

The Plus 4's Avon tires are modest in grip and generous in sidewall. This isn't a car in which to set records; it's for weekend adventures.
The instruments are basic and centered in the instrument panel. The steering wheel stays where it is. The Morgan doesn't adjust to you. You adjust to the Morgan.
The small production runs at Morgan—maybe 500 cars in a good year—mean each one is built at least a bit differently. The number circle is a popular option for anyone expecting to randomly come across a time-distance rally in which they would spontaneously participate.
The transmission is a five-speed manual from Mazda's Miata parts bin. It's about as good in the Morgan as it is in the third-generation MX-5.
There's nothing dynamic about the Morgan's aerodynamics. The windshield is flat, the doors are cut down to let air in, and great gobs of air get trapped under those glorious fenders.
Roof up. Gangster. There's basically no point in driving a Morgan this way.
