The Flying Spur is powered by an updated version of the familiar twin-turbocharged W-12 engine, which is expected to produce 626 horsepower.
Like its Continental GT little brother, the new Flying Spur uses an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, an unorthodox choice for a luxury sedan.
All Flying Spur interiors are predictably plush, and the choices of colors, finishes, and wood veneers are vast.
First seen in the Continental GT, the rotating center display can be set to reveal an infotainment screen or conventional gauges. It will cost you extra, however.
The Flying Spur glides through the world unperturbed by, well, the world.
A rear-biased all-wheel-drive system, rear-wheel steering, and a 48-volt electronically powered anti-roll system, give the new Spur a level of maneuverability and handling prowess absent from earlier versions.
Atop a taller more upright front grille is mounted a gleaming (and power retractable) "Flying B" hood ornament.
Bentley's Touring Specification option package ($8385) brings lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, night vision, and a head-up display.
It's too bad the term "bling" has fallen out of favor, because it perfectly describes the Flying Spur's jewel-like headlights.
If you can see any evidence that the new Flying Spur shares its basic platform with the Porsche Panamera, you have keener vision than we do.
