The Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid builds upon the regular Cayenne Turbo's twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 with a 134-hp electric motor sandwiched between the engine and transmission, resulting in a combined 670 horsepower and 633 lb-ft of torque.
The Turbo S E-Hybrid incorporates a 14.1-kWh lithium-ion battery pack that can be recharged in about six hours with a household 230-volt power source.
Unlike the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, which employs the same powertrain, the Cayenne variant features a conventional eight-speed automatic transmission instead of the Panamera's PDK dual-clutch automatic. All-wheel drive is standard on both models.

The Turbo S E-Hybrid's standard adaptive air-spring suspension features three settings—Normal, Sport, and Sport Plus—and five height adjustments that vary the vehicle's ground clearance from 6.3 to 9.6 inches.
The Turbo S E-Hybrid features Porsche carbon-ceramic brakes as standard, although we found the transition between the hybrid regenerative brakes and the friction brakes to be less linear than we'd like.
