BMW claims that the new Alpina B7 is capable of 205 mph, although the best we could do in traffic on an unrestricted stretch of the German autobahn was an indicated 186 mph.
For the B7, Alpina modifies BMW's twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 to produce 600 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque.
The Alpina comes standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission and xDrive all-wheel drive.
Alpina's multispoke wheel package is timelessly cool; 20-inchers with summer tires are standard, although both all-season tires and 21s with summer rubber are optional.
