The Explorer's optional hybrid setup includes a 3.3-liter V-6 with a combined power rating of 318 horsepower.
The top-level powerplant available in the non-ST Explorer is a 365-hp twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6.
All of the new Explorer's engines mate to a standard 10-speed automatic transmission co-developed with Ford and General Motors.
When fitted with its optional towing package, the Explorer can tow between 5000 and 5600 pounds, depending on the configuration.
