The 8.0-inch touchscreen, standard on all but the base S trim, comes with Ford's Sync 3 infotainment setup that is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Ford designers refer to the Escape's front end as a "shark nose."

Various 17-, 18-, and 19-inch wheel options are available on the different trim levels.

The second row slides fore and aft on a six-inch track, allowing the interior to be configured for either more passenger space or more cargo space.

The Escape's optional head-up display is different from most other systems of this type, as it projects the image onto a six-inch screen rather than directly onto the windshield.

A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is optional on upper trim levels.

Ford says that switching to a rotary shift knob helped declutter the center console and open up additional storage space.

The Escape offers up to 38 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row.

The rear seats fold flat to open up more space, and the floor is flush if you place the movable cargo floor to its upper position.
