From the Archive: With 15.6 psi of max boost and 263 horsepower routed to only the front wheels, the new Mazdaspeed 3 can be a handful. But it's certainly not as uncouth as some may fear, nor is its $22,800 entry point as pricey as you might expect. In fact, Mazda has managed to produce a rather stunning sport-compact package, one that does good-ol' tire-smoking fun better than any Mazdaspeed vehicle before it.
