As Dodge Says Goodbye to Charger and Challenger, Here Are All the 'Last Call' Special Editions
Dodge finally revealed the Challenger SRT Demon 170, which follows six other special edition V-8-powered Dodge muscle cars.
It's nearly time to bid adieu to the Dodge Charger and Challenger as we know them. With the reveal of the Challenger SRT Demon 170, Dodge has finished taking the wraps off its special "Last Call" models, which celebrate the massive V-8 engines that have made the Charger and Challenger affordable performance-car staples in the 2010s. Dodge is planning an electric replacement, but nothing will quite match the combination of prodigious power and ear-shattering noise unleashed by Dodge's lineup of V-8 engines. Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170
The final Dodge "Last Call" model is also the most powerful, with the Challenger SRT Demon 170 pushing out an absurd 1025 horsepower on E85 fuel. This gives the Demon 170 a claimed quarter-mile time of just 8.9 seconds, and the V-8-powered muscle car can even be ordered with a parachute.
Dodge Challenger Black Ghost
The Challenger Black Ghost celebrates a legendary 1970 Challenger that dominated the stoplight drag racing scene in Detroit, leaving competitors in its dust before vanishing into the night. The 2023 homage, based on the Hellcat Redeye, pairs Pitch Black paint with a faux-gator-skin roof graphic, a white stripe on the trunk, and chrome badges.
Dodge Charger King Daytona
The Hellcat Redeye–based Charger King Daytona also looks back at drag racing in the '60s and '70s, this time emulating the daredevils who raced on the West Coast. Matte black graphics contrast with vivid Go Mango paint and chrome 20-inch wheels, as well as carbon-fiber interior trim.
Dodge Charger and Challenger Swinger
Dodge brought back the Swinger name from the 1969 Dart for two Last Call models, based on the Scat Pack versions of the Charger and Challenger. While Dodge is offering three paint options, the F8 Green with bright green stripe shown is an eye-catching combo, with gold accents rounding out the look.
Dodge Charger Super Bee
The Super Bee moniker last appeared in 2012 and returns for 2023 for a Scat Pack–based limited edition: 500 examples get the widebody treatment with Plum Crazy paint, while 500 receive the standard Charger sheetmetal and B5 Blue paint. All Super Bees are fitted with special drag-racing adaptive dampers and tires.
Dodge Challenger Shakedown
The Challenger Shakedown was the first "Last Call" vehicle Dodge revealed, with gray paint and snazzy black and red stripes. Using the Scat Pack as a foundation, the Shakedown features red Brembo brake calipers and red interior stitching, and it is offered with a six-speed manual.
