• Chrysler revealed the first photos of the 2027 Pacifica, with the popular minivan undergoing a significant refresh.
  • The front now features vertically oriented headlights that are linked by a light bar, which features the revised Chrysler logo first seen on the Halcyon concept.
  • We also expect changes to the Pacifica's cabin, and more details should emerge in the next few months.

You'll be forgiven for having forgotten about Chrysler. After the 300 sedan was retired following the 2023 model year, Chrysler was left with just one model, the Pacifica—two if you count the Voyager, which is just a less expensive, de-contented version of the same minivan. But now Chrysler is gearing up to actually reveal a new product, publishing photos of the refreshed Pacifica on Instagram.

Chrysler didn't provide any details about the updated minivan, simply captioning the post: "Some things refuse to stay undercover." But the images clearly show what looks like a Pacifica with unique front-end styling. The overall body shape remains unchanged, and Chrysler has yet to show off the rear end.

The Pacifica's face is a significant departure from the current iteration, with the slim, horizontally oriented headlights replaced by vertical units that cascade downwards along the edge of the front fascia and connect with a trim piece. The tops of the headlights hook inwards and link up with a light bar that runs across the top of the narrow upper grille.

That light bar also includes a new Chrysler logo, which first appeared on the Halcyon concept from 2024 but has yet to adorn a production model. The new badge simplifies Chrysler's wing emblem, with two trapezoidal, interlocking lines. A large grille sits in the bumper and features an ornate decoration consisting of many small chrome dashes. A chrome strip runs along the side of the van, and we can also spot a badge that reads "Pinnacle," indicating that this is the highest Pacifica trim.

Along with the fresh look, we expect Chrysler to upgrade the cabin with a more modern look featuring larger screens. Details on the interior and powertrain should arrive in the near future, and we expect the 3.6-liter V-6 to carry over, but it's unclear if there will be any notable changes to the Pacifica's hardware.

Stellantis dropped all of its traditional plug-in hybrid models in January, spelling the end for the Pacifica Hybrid and its powertrain that mated the V-6 to two electric motors. In 2024, CEO Christine Feuell said there would be an electric Pacifica arriving shortly after the new gas version, and there were reports of an updated plug-in hybrid model, but we wouldn't be shocked if those plans have changed. More information on the updated Pacifica, which should arrive for the 2027 model year, should come out soon.
