Kia first made the all-new 2021 Seltos available to foreign markets, and we found out last summer that it would be coming to the U.S. Now, here it is. Starting at $23,110, the Seltos nestles between the Soul and the Sportage in Kia's growing lineup.
At that base price, buyers can choose between front-wheel or all-wheel drive, both powered by the same naturally aspirated 2.0-liter inline-four with 146 horsepower. The more powerful of the two engine choices, a turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-four with 175 horsepower, comes only on all-wheel-drive models and starts at $26,610. The 2.0-liter engine is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), and the turbocharged 1.6-liter is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

The Seltos rides on the same platform as the Hyundai Kona but offers more passenger and cargo space and more available equipment than the Kona. It comes standard with an 8.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, and selectable drive modes.
In November, Kia said that the Seltos would go on sale in the U.S. in the first quarter of 2020, so we expect it to come to market soon.
