• The Honda Accord is getting a slight price hike for the 2020 model year.
  • LX, EX, and Touring models go up by $185, while the Sport (pictured) goes up by $385.
  • There are no changes to the Accord for 2020, but we're expecting a refresh for the 2021 model year that will likely arrive next fall.

As is typical for a new model year, the 2020 Honda Accord is going up slightly in price. The base Accord LX goes up by $185 to a new starting price of $24,800, while the Accord Sport rises by $385. EX and Touring models also go up by $185, to $28,700 and $37,030. There's no info out yet on the 2020 Accord hybrid, but Honda says it is coming soon.

Honda isn't making any changes to the 10Best-winning Accord otherwise, as the equipment list and available powertrains—a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four paired with a CVT and an optional turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission—continue on for 2020. All Accord Sport models remain available with either the CVT or a no-cost six-speed manual transmission, with the 1.5-liter Sport now starting at $27,075 and the 2.0-liter Sport starting at $31,990.

We expect Honda to roll out bigger updates to the Accord next year for the 2021 model, as this tenth-generation model first arrived for the 2018 model year. It's likely to be a typical mid-cycle refresh with revised styling and a few new features, and information should be available sometime next fall. In the meantime, the 2020 model goes on sale September 17.
