2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA45 Driveclubpinterest

The hot-rod AMG version of Mercedes-Benz’s new CLA-class compact sedan, the CLA45 AMG, still has yet to be officially unveiled, but we have the first image of the production car. Well, it’s not quite the real car—it’s a computer-generated likeness of the CLA45 AMG from the upcoming PlayStation 4 video game Driveclub. The real deal makes its big debut at the 2013 New York auto show.

Unsurprisingly, the CLA45 looks pretty much identical to the rendering we recently published, as well as the car in Benz’s self-published “spy photos.” The requisite pumped-up bodywork and aggressive wheels are present and accounted for, all the better to convey the sedan’s impressive specs: 355 horsepower, 4MATIC all-wheel drive, and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Besides the new photo, we also have launch timing for the CLA45 here in the States. The zippy sedan will hit dealerships in November, and, while pricing has yet to be announced, figure on a sticker crowding $50,000.
