Ken Block Gymkhana 6 GoPropinterest

GoPro has a lot to be thankful for, including a world of hooligans desperate for cheap, reliable, and high-def cameras they can use to record their shenanigans. One of those hooligans—er, we mean, Hoonigans—is Ken Block, who has been known to use GoPros from time to time for his hugely popular Gymkhana YouTube videos. To play up this association, GoPro has released a new version of Block’s latest, Gymkhana 6, and says it was filmed entirely using GoPros.

Now, before you get too excited over the prospect of a “director’s cut” Gymkhana 6, know that, essentially, GoPro’s video is the same as Block’s. In fact, the only main difference we could pick out was a general lack of panning, bird’s-eye shots in the GoPro version. That’s likely because GoPros don’t make the best long-distance cameras, but no matter the reason, the paucity of wide-angle shots from the sky doesn’t detract much from the Ken Block driving-skills-to-pay-the-bills goodness we’ve come to expect from this Gymkhana format. So enjoy the new video below, we’re going to go do some burnouts and record it with . . . you guessed it.
