Jeep clearly wants to be more things to more folks; the aggressive model-reshuffling over the next few years sees the merciful end of the Compass/Patriot twins, and with them the last dangling vestiges of the execrable Dodge Caliber. They’ll be replaced with a single crossover in 2016 that will be bookended by the Renegade and Cherokee to cover the car-derived end of Jeep’s ute brigade. Both of those models will receive facelifts around the time of the new vehicle’s launch.
In ’17, the not-yet-on-sale Renegade’s due for a refresh, following the aggressive update cycle the Grand Cherokee’s been subject to as of late. Speaking of the GC, it’ll again be redone in late 2015, with a new model to be unwrapped in mid to late 2017 shortly after an all-new Wrangler.

Meanwhile, the stylistically-polarizing Cherokee will be refreshed for the 2016 model year, no doubt alongside a cornucopia of anniversarial hoopla celebrating the brand’s 75th birthday.
