If you don’t ask, there’s probably no way to get something, right? Well, now’s the time to rally and collectively petition Audi of America president Scott Keogh to offer the fantastic new S3 in the U.S. with a six-speed manual.
According to dedicated Audi site Fourtitude, Keogh was asked at a dinner event in Austin last week if he’d consider selling a stick-shift S3—a standard automotive-journalist query about every vehicle that precedes questions about diesel engines, a station-wagon version, and the color brown—and he said Audi was “looking very closely” at the possibility, while also citing the take-rate and cost concerns that automakers must consider. Fourtitude also said the firm was keenly investigating an RS3 sedan, no doubt spurred by overwhelmingly positive response to the A3 Clubsport Concept the company unveiled in May. Previously, the RS3 was available only outside the U.S. as a five-door hatch.
