2017 Acura NSXpinterest

Acura’s long-awaited NSX hybrid supercar looks like an exotic, drives like an exotic, and as we now know, will be priced like an exotic, as well. When ordering commences on February 25, 2016, the 2017 NSX will start at a rather dear $157,800—three times the price of Acura’s current flagship RLX sedan—topping out at $207,500 when dressed to the nines. Yep, load it all the way up, and that’s Lamborghini Huracán LP580-2 or McLaren 570S money, both of those cars being more powerful and better pedigreed, if not quite as technologically endowed. An online configurator for the NSX also will launch on the same date, so we’ll know exactly what options will be offered for what price at that time, too.

Acura also announced that it will auction off the very first 2017 NSX one month earlier, in late January, at the 2016 Barrett-Jackson collector-car auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. The car will not have been built yet; rather, Acura says that NSX VIN 001 can be configured any way the high bidder wants, with proceeds going to two children’s charities, namely the Brain Tumor Foundation and Camp Southern Ground.
