Open-air motoring is back at Audi, and the new A4 Cabriolet can make it happen in less than half a minute. With the push of a button, the Cabriolet's electro-hydraulic, fully automatic top folds down in 24 seconds, making it the first drop-top from Audi since 1998. Based on the current A4 sedan, the cabriolet seats four and comes equipped with aluminum suspension and your choice of a 1.8-liter 170-hp turbo four-cylinder or a 3.0-liter 220-hp V-6—both of which can be mated to a continuously variable multitronic transmission. Inside, the Cabriolet is fitted with a sporty, exclusive interior that is distinct from other A4 models. Look for it stateside in September '02.
