The butt of jokes for many years, Buick is about to go through a significant change from its "doctor's car" attitude. Buicks will continue to come in sedan forms, although the division promises they'll be a lot more refined and elegant than we're used to, even down to the Century starter model. We can expect a bunch more truck/van/ute things as well, since the success of Buick's Rendezvous model has not gone unnoticed. So the Centurion is set to work that same end of the street, but with more sedanlike characteristics. The revision of the entire Buick lineup has been delayed about a year—by Lutz's order—so it can raise the bar on new products.
