Overview

You might miss the exhaust note, but otherwise the Focus Electric is very similar to its gasoline-powered sibling. A 143-hp electric motor drives the front wheels. The comfortable, familiar cabin is packed with amenities, but the battery severly impinges on cargo room. Starting with the 2017 model year, the EPA estimates a range of 115 miles, a large increase over previous model years; top speed is limited to 84 mph, according to Ford. Remote start with cabin preconditioning is standard.
