Overview
When it came time to put together an electric sports sedan, Audi simply took a quick trip over to Porsche HQ and poached a platform and powertrain from the slick Taycan four-door. But the result is no designer dupe. The 2025 e-tron GT sports styling that's all Audi. The cabin is decked out in Audi's finest too, including cool-looking digital displays, premium materials, and racy themes. Under the skin is a dual-motor powertrain with 670 horsepower, but that's only the base model. The RSPerformance trim pumps out a dizzying 912 horsepower. Handling is lithe and the e-tron GT begs to be pushed hard, although doing so isn't going to help you avoid the charging station. The 2025 model's driving range is higher now thanks to battery-pack improvements, with the entry-level S model now boasting a range as far as 300 miles per charge.
What's New for 2025?
Audi has given the e-tron GT a mild styling update for 2025, which includes a restyled grille, updated wheel designs, and new exterior colors, but more substantial upgrades lie beneath the surface. A larger 97.0-kWh battery pack is said to increase range, with the base S model with 20-inch wheels now claiming a 300-mile driving range. The car's electric powertrain has also been updated, and a new top-spec RS Performance trim has been added to the lineup with a 912-hp rating. The other trims are more powerful this year too, with the RS hitting a peak of 845 ponies and the base S trim pumping out 670.
Pricing and Which One to Buy
With up to 912 horsepower and sportier intentions than the base S e-tron GT, it's hard not to lust after the desirable RS variant. Unfortunately, it costs a lot more than the base model. So, we'd recommend sticking with the S, which offers the best mix of features and value.

EV Motor, Power, and Performance
A pair of electric motors combine to create an electrified version of Audi's Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The e-tron GT's base powertrain generates 670 horsepower, while the RS Performance boasts the highest output number at 912 horsepower. This power is converted to exhilarating acceleration with the help of its innovative two-speed rear transmission, which has a first gear for launches and a second top gear for optimal efficiency. A complex cooling system means its battery pack can handle repeated runs without the typical signs of heat-related degradation. Audi also eschews traditional one-pedal driving on its sporty EV, instead providing a more natural feel. The e-tron GT is available with all-wheel steering, a new adjustable air suspension system, and wheel sizes that range from 19 up to 21 inches. When we recently tested a top-trim e-tron GT Performance, we were impressed with its smooth ride, precise steering, and fast-stopping carbon-ceramic brakes.
0–60-MPH Times
The top-dog RS e-tron GT Performance package sprinted to 60 mph in just 2.1 seconds in our testing. That's even quicker than the Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo.
Range, Charging, and Battery Life
Every e-tron GT features a 97.0-kWh lithium-ion battery, which is larger than the one offered in previous model years. Driving range estimates are as high as 300 miles for the S model with 20-inch wheels. With the optional 21-inch wheels, that range number drops to 294. In our real-world highway range test of the RS e-tron GT Performance, it achieved 280 miles, beating its EPA estimate of 278 miles. The e-tron GT can be recharged from 10 to 80 percent of its battery capacity in a claimed 18 minutes using a 320-kW DC fast charger.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPGe
The EPA estimates that the S model should deliver 91 MPGe city and 88 MPGe highway when equipped with 20-inch wheels. Upgrade to 21s, and those numbers drop to 89 MPGe city and 85 MPGe highway. When we get a chance to take the 2025 model on our 75-mph fuel-economy route, which is part of our extensive testing regimen, we'll update this story with real-world test results. For more information about the e-tron GT's efficiency ratings, visit the EPA's website.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
Inside, the e-tron GT mixes fanciful and functional elements. The cabin incorporates multiple digital displays on its angular dashboard along with upscale trim. Audi offers a leather interior with different color options as well as a leather-free package that uses recycled materials. Of course, there's no shortage of available luxury features. The top options include ambient interior lighting, a head-up display, heated-and-cooled front seats with massage functions, and more. Front-seat passengers sit low to the ground, which promotes a sporty driving position. The rear outboard seats provide ample legroom, but its headroom is less generous, and the middle seat is more courteous than comfortable. There's space for luggage behind the back seats and under the hood in the front trunk (frunk).
Infotainment and Connectivity
While the e-tron GT's infotainment system isn't as touchscreen-heavy as other Audi models such as the A7 sedan and e-tron SUV, it's still visually exciting and loaded with popular content. The central touchscreen measures 10.1 inches and works with steering-wheel-mounted controls and voice-recognition software. Along with a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot, the e-tron GT is available with wireless charging and a powerful 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
The all-electric sedan has myriad driver-assistance technology, including adaptive cruise control as well as remote self-parking assist, which allows the driver to park the car via a smartphone app. For more information about the e-tron GT's crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Key safety features include:
- Standard forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking
- Available blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert
- Available lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist
Warranty and Maintenance Coverage
Audi has a competitive limited warranty that aligns with most luxury rivals. The company also covers the components of its electric vehicles for eight years or 100,000 miles.
- Limited warranty covers four years or 50,000 miles
- Powertrain warranty covers eight years or 100,000 miles
- No complimentary scheduled maintenance
