CORRECTION 10/6/25: This story has been updated with the correct price of the LS500 Heritage Edition.
When Lexus launched as Toyota's luxury division back in 1989, it did so on the back of the original LS sedan. Now, 36 years later, the brand's flagship is about to set off on its final voyage. Enter the 2026 Lexus LS500 Heritage Edition, which will be the only model you can buy, and it'll be available in very limited numbers.
The LS500 Heritage Edition features a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V-6 that sends 416 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels. The last LS500 we tested hit the mile-per-minute mark in 5.0 seconds, and the full-size luxury sedan hustled through the quarter-mile in 13.3 ticks at 107 mph. The Heritage variant rolls on special 20-inch wheels with a 20-spoke design, and they should pair nicely with the newly introduced Ninety Noir paint option.

Inside, the last LS500 marks the first time Lexus has used Roja Red upholstery on an LS model. And to make sure that people don't forget that the Heritage Edition is a send-off, there's an etched emblem on the center console. If that subtle nod goes unnoticed, there's also a silhouette of the LS that's embroidered in the headrests. The standard 23-speaker Mark Levinson sound system should help provide a fitting tribute to the LS's legacy for those who listen to "See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa, featuring the dulcet tones of Charlie Puth.
Lexus is pricing the limited-production 2026 LS500 Heritage Edition at $99,280, which is about $18K more than last year's base price. Of course, each of the 250 copies is fully loaded, and can you actually put a price on history? And if anyone is still wondering about the fate of the hybrid LS500h, a Lexus spokesperson has confirmed that it's dead. The 2025 model year was its last.
