The NRING package is available on both the Giulia Quadrifoglio and the Stelvio Quadrifoglio.
Alfa Romeo has been dominating the Nürburgring Nordschleife recently. The Giulia Quadrifoglio sports sedan lays claim to being the fastest five-passenger car around the famed racetrack with a 7:32 lap time, and the Stelvio Quadrifoglio is the fastest SUV sold in the U.S. with a time of 7:51.7. (A Mercedes-AMG GLC63 S set a better time, but that SUV isn't available here.) To celebrate its success, Alfa Romeo has revealed NRING special editions of both Quadrifoglio models at the New York auto show. It's pretty easy to guess what the NRING name stands for.
If the cars look a bit familiar, it's because the NRINGs already were revealed for European audiences last year, and what we're getting is basically the same.
Both cars get matte Circuito Gray paint that is offset by a carbon-fiber grille and side mirrors.
The five-hole aluminum wheels are painted a dark gray, all the badging has been darkened, and the red brake calipers get white lettering.
The Giulia's roof is carbon fiber, while the Stelvio has a panoramic glass roof.
Only 110 NRING Alfas will be brought to the United States, split equally between the sedan and the SUV.
The Giulia NRING will start at $91,485, a $15,895 upcharge over a regular 2019 Giulia Quadrifoglio. The Stelvio NRING is similarly pricey, costing $97,485, which is also $15,895 over the standard 2019 Stelvio Quadrifoglio.
With all the unique styling enhancements and standard features taken into account, though, the NRINGs stop just looking good and start looking like a pretty good value, too.
On the inside, the NRINGs have a red-and-black two-tone interior that has been lathered in carbon-fiber trim, including illuminated side sills on the Giulia.
Sparco carbon-fiber bucket seats are optional on both cars, as are carbon-ceramic brakes.
In addition to all the cosmetic items, both NRINGs come with a Convenience package and a Driver Assistance Dynamic package as standard.
A badge on the center console is numbered to show the serial number of each car.
Both NRING cars will reach dealerships in a few months.
